Where do we meet?

We meet in front of the Greenwood Museum & Visitor Centre at
214 South Copper Avenue, Greenwood BC. Please try to arrive 10 minutes before starting time to ensure we can get started on time for everyone.

How long are the tours and what should I bring?

A tour takes approximately 90 minutes and is a total walking distance of about 1.5 km through the main section of town. Make sure to wear good walking shoes and prepare for the weather, which can be variable throughout the day. Sunscreen and water bottles are recommended if the weather is warm.

What times are tours available?

Scheduled tours run daily during the summer months if there are confirmed bookings. If you plan to drop-in without a ticket purchased online, make sure to check the booking page on the day of the tour to confirm your preferred tour time is still listed, or call Maureen at 778-677-3211.

Private tours can also be available daily by calling Maureen in advance at 778-677-3211 or by filling out the Private Tour Request Form. Special arrangements can be made for private tours with groups of 4 or more.

How much does the tour cost?

Tour pricing is as follows:
$20 - Adult (18+)
$15 - Senior (65+)/Student (w/ valid ID)/Youth (12-17)
$10 - Children (6-11)
FREE - Children (Under 6)

$55 - Family Rate (2 Adults + 2 Children)

$5 - Family Rate (additional Child)

$15 - Greenwood Resident (w/ current or former address)

How do I get tickets?

Order your tickets online to reserve your spot - (prepayment with Debit/Credit or select Cash payment upon arrival)
Drop-in and pay when you arrive at the meeting point - (Cash or Debit/Credit card payment available with Square)
It is preferable and recommended to book tickets online in advance

My preferred tour time disappeared / my tour was cancelled?

If your preferred tour time has disappeared from the booking page, this means that tour has been cancelled as there were no confirmed attendees by the morning of the tour. If you wish to reclaim that tour time for your group on short notice, you may try calling Maureen at 778-677-3211 or please book another tour time through the booking page.

If for some reason a scheduled tour with confirmed bookings has been cancelled, you will automatically receive an email notification of the cancelled tour, and will automatically be sent a full refund for any tickets purchased. In this case you will have to book new tickets for another scheduled tour - we apologize for any inconvenience.

Will we be going to the smelter and/or slag heap?

We will be able to see the smelter from a viewpoint on the tour, but it is several kilometres away and not included in the walking tour, which is through the downtown area only. Unfortunately we will not be able to see or visit the slag heap on the tour, however there will be exciting stories offered about both!
